Melting Snow!!!

Davis and I enjoyed some 50 degree weather after school today. He loved splashing in the puddles and getting dirty.  It was so nice to be outside again!

Once we got dry clothes on we played with mom's camera...
These are some of the noises he makes and his favorite song to sing.

Fun on the farm...

We actually got to ride the snowmobile! Davis loved riding in the sled and giggled at Grandpa and Grandma as they zoomed around us on the other snowmobile. Thanks for the ride!

A Long Winter

The days are getting longer and we hear the birds chirping outside... just waiting on the weather to start to get warmer. This has been a long, COLD winter.  We had to get creative in February on how to stay busy and forget about the nasty temps outside.
Fell asleep watching Cars with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz.

Made silly Aunt Erica faces. (We have a picture of Erica sticking her tongue out, so Davis thinks this is how she looks.)

Colored and used our stickers from Uncle Seth and Aunt Missy.

Eat ice cream at... Great Grandpa and Grandma Schulz's house. (I'm sure everyone could have guessed where this was taken.)  :)

Ate green eggs for Dr. Seuss's birthday (we had turkey at home, not ham).  Thanks Daddy for making such good stuff!

Chilled out by the heater (yes even Belle is ready for warmer weather).

Brrr! It's Cold Outside!

It doesn't seem to matter to Davis how cold it is outside, he wants to follow his Daddy everywhere.  One weekend in February (when the wind chill was warmer than -20) he got to help push snow.
He likes to wear his Carhart bibs outside just like his Daddy does. Thanks Aunt Amanda and Uncle Shannon.  He officially looks like a farm boy!

Birthday Fun Weekend

The weather wasn't ideal but what can we expect from Iowa in February?  We were thankful to those who made it out and missing those who couldn't join us.  Davis had fun and that made us happy!
Good thing Aunt Bie put the candles on. I was going to just put one on!

Andrew and Davis opening presents.  Davis was so interested in the toys he got that he didn't want to open any more presents.  He wanted to play with the toy once he saw it.  That was something we weren't expecting. :)

Uncle Sawyer and Aunt Chelle got Davis a dart gun.  Who knew this thing would shoot across the room and take an eye out?  Not sure who had more fun playing with it on Sunday Davis or Andrew.  Guess I'm not going to win the battle with guns, but I will get Uncle Sawyer when he's least expecting it.  :)

Davis got a cute pair of John Deere boots.  Andrew wanted a pair in his size and Randy wanted a pair in Holden's size.  Since Davis was so busy with his toys Holden tried them on.  ADORABLE!

Snow day with his Mommy and he was finally ready to try them on.  Watch out ladies, here he comes!

Trying to walk in Cowboy Boots must be different than his tennis shoes. ;)

Random January Fun

You will notice none of the pictures were taken outside because it is very cold here in Iowa!

Davis helped me make some chocolate cookies during our snow day Monday. I had to almost force him to try it, but once he did he LOVED licking it!

We had to send Davis away to Grandpa and Grandma Schulz's house so daddy could get some real work done.

We were so lucky to have these two trouble makers together a couple of weekends ago.  They had so much fun running around in diapers.

She may be small but this little girl can handle playing with a tough boy.

If Davis ever gets a little brother or sister someday we will have to watch him VERY closely.  I think he is a little rough.

Westendorf Christmas

AJ, Gavin, and Davis handing out presents.

Wow, look at him passing out the presents.  He is getting so big.  Good thing there are two boys to teach him how to act.
